SOLRAD offers a proven heating system that delivers excellent performance and reliability. These units are the ideal solution for spaces that require heating 24 hours a day.
Functionality
The principle behind the operation of accumulators is straightforward. A clock or programmer allows the accumulator to automatically connect during off-peak hours (valley rate) and disconnect once these hours end.
Accumulators utilise high-quality heating elements to heat internal ceramic blocks (refractory bricks) during the night, effectively “absorbing” and storing thermal energy. This energy is then released during peak hours (point rate).
Our DOUSystem is specifically designed to operate with time-of-use electricity rates. It charges during the 8 hours of low-cost electricity, then regulates the discharge over the next 16 hours according to your heating needs.
